The two other forms of humanity that remain are the mutated humans that are the majority and Carcasses. The longest a Reborn has been recorded to live after re awakening has been 2 years before their return to decay. This lighting is attracted to life and upon striking graves return them to the land of the living. Now come storms of black numbing rain and red lighting. Form human contact and processes to allow for habitation changed Mars’ natural events. A part of this new magic came one of the three forms of humanity in this world, The Reborn. With astral research came what we would see as magic but to them they see as just the state of the world.
Close contact with the core of Mars and celestial energy infected people and mutated the world. Man's adventures into the stars changed them forever. Industrial mining cities dig into the core of Mars made of this expensive and mystical black rock.
Mars is still a planet of red dust, The modern Wild West mixed with Mad Max. Mars is known as the industrial planet, once the fleeing place of the rich, its poor hospitality and crowding nature of large factory cities had the rich flee to the moon, their private paradise. People reside on three celestial bodies, Earth, The Moon, and Mars. People were rolled over by companies and governments because they didn't act enough to stop what was coming and simply let it and still let it happen.

For the United States unions are a thing of the past, most people can't live on their wages and nearly all have to act in crime, the minimum working age is 9 and by 12 most are expected to work full time jobs. There is no wish for change a global remark of "so it goes", apathy has lead to the death of politics and possibility of a loving life. Since then the world has gotten worse, far worse. This is a world of constant darkness and apathy. In a few years due to this time’s advanced technology a Dyson Sphere like construction was assembled around the sun and now the only thing in the sky is a metal construct with a glowing white aura housing a black hole. Institute (An off shoot of NASA standing for Senior Technological Astral Research Institute). In the early 2000's the Sun showed signs of a premature death, to prevent this global reaction occurred mainly headed by the U.S. In this world the year is 2050, it's been 42 years since the sky went black. An important first note the nature of this setting is cyberpunk and therefore filled with anarchist and anti capitalist themes and is also heavily influenced by Blade Runner, Romantic era literature, and the ttrpg show Kollok 1991. The setting and lore of my world is not very set in stone or properly written but I will give a synopsis here and if you would like to or do join I would be willing to expand further. I attempt to have a combat every other session but move at a slower pace. This setting is mainly role play heavy but I don't shy away from combat.

We refer to the setting as Night Lights and mechanically it is base 5e with a few changes and I will be allowing a free feat at level one as-well as probably supplying a few home brew classes I have play tested and thoroughly looked over. The setting and home brew elements of this game come from a campaign I am currently running with some close friends and wanted to branch out to other people. An important note I am autistic and have ADHD and so please be kind and understand that when communicating with me that I have difficulty with tone, social inferences, and understanding social norms/contexts. I'm 18 and have been playing DnD for 5 years and am wanting to run another game.
